Research and analysis of legal and ethical challenges in relation to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its links to other technologies are the main tasks of the Virtual Department of Ethics and Law. On Wednesday, 31 July 2019 in Warsaw, its activities were inaugurated by the Minister of Digitital Affairs Marek Zagórski. On behalf of the Faculty of Administration Law of the Opole University, the agreement on the creation of the Department was signed by Dr. Ewa Pierzchała, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration.
The originator and initiator of the project is dr hab. prof. UO Dariusz Szostek, employee of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Opole University, head of Centre for Legal Problems of Technical Issues and New Technologies.
